Well, I haven't had much activity on this account for awhile. I've been bad and haven't finished polishing my newest chapters of Out of Place.
For those who actually read it, I apologize.
I did have a new job for the passed month, but due to scheduling issues, I'm back to work at home methods. I have so much more respect for teens who do retail work. While my job was much more than just retail, it was difficult trying to cram so much abstract info into 2 weeks. I was getting the hang of it, but it was very outside of my comfort zone. Office work is very visual for me, with lists, lots of text, etc.
Meanwhile, I'm gearing up (quite literally) for my first SCA event. For Halloween I did a test-run of a tunic. Minus some issues with sewing the neckline (no one noticed), I did very well. People loved my costume, and some kids asked if I was a princess.
I love dressing up and interacting with children. I'm not into America's Halloween for the scary stuff. I see it as a great excuse to dress up and meet people.
This is also why I'm so happy about joining the SCA. You get to meet like-minded people, and you have an excuse to dress up to go out. I'm excited to see how things will be next weekend.
